Successful completion of this thesis would not have been possible without the assistance, encouragement and the gracefulness of many people. I would like to express my deepest thanks and gratitude to them.

Firstly and foremost, I am grateful to Assoc. Prof. Niramon Sutummakid, my advisor who has not only inspired me to select the environmental topic, but also provided invaluable suggestion, comprehension, encouragement, concentration, and untiring supervision throughout every chapter of my thesis.
